Arlene Stevens is a Reiki Master who has been practicing Reiki since 1996. In addition to providing individual sessions by appointment, Arlene uses her Reiki expertise to train others by teaching at four levels including Reiki I, Reiki II, ART, and the Masters level.
Arlene also provides Reiki sessions for patients at Harmony Hospice which is located in the Pittsburgh area.
She believes that the calming and centering energy of Reiki should be shared, and achieves this through serving as a Reiki volunteer at Jefferson Regional Hospital where she provides individual sessions to Oncology and Joint Replacement patients. She was also instrumental in creating a Reiki Pilot Project for women at UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital to receive Reiki during chemotherapy treatments for breast cancer.
Arlene has taken the Reiki message to the community, and delivers presentations to explain and demonstrate Reiki at local organizations including libraries, churches, and healthcare support groups. She also serves on a team that developed and conducts a semi-monthly Healing and Wholeness Service which includes Reiki at the Franciscan Spirit and Life Center in Pittsburgh, PA.
Arlene is a member of the International Association of Reiki Professionals, an international organization dedicated to the continuing professional growth of practitioners and to creating greater awareness of Reiki.
